There are no pictures today as I am extremely concerned for Dita. She has been ailing for some time because of the bad weather conditions and the extra work that this causes. Deliveries are no longer brought, she has to fetch them herself. 25x 50kg bags of corn kernels every month, food, clothing donations, supermarket donations...everything. The drivable paths are horrible due to the rain, hardly manageable. She got stuck with the car several times and then the 50kg sacks had to be brought to the yard by hand. Nobody can imagine, NOBODY!
What we do is not fun, it is not a happy pet farm that you find in funny videos on facebook. What we're doing is a rare fight, and it feels like it!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dita has a heart condition, has to take 4 pills a day for the rest of her life. And now I'm worried about her life!! :( She has already carried so much, for years, every single day. There is no weekend at our kennel, no holidays, no vacations, nothing... except pure survival, every day! We here in germany only say "rain... oh the underpass is closed again, I have to take a detour to work..." For us, the complaining is on a very high level. The fight for survival that Dita and Jade fight every day, not just for their own survival, cannot be brought even close to anyone here with any words in the world. The imagination is not enough to understand and comprehend it. It simply does not work.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And I feel helpless, to sit here in Germany and not being able to help on the spot tears me apart. When people say, "My heart breaks." then in most cases it is just a phrase. Unfortunately, I can now say that I KNOW how it feels when your heart is really torn apart. I ask everyone who is reading this for support! Please help me share this post and website to share our project. To friends, relatives, acquaintances, newspapers, TV stations, celebrities... no matter where it is shared. I do it myself already since weeks/months, but I'm just a small drop in a huge sea and I need a few more drops that form a wave as quickly as possible that gives us strength to get through it all. We urgently need good news, help, support. All that's keeping us going at the moment are some lovely donors and the last bit of hope that the local weather will turn around soon and we'll find a few more donors. :´(
