The last week of June brought us something that makes us lose faith in people and assures us that we are doing the right thing with the dog sanctuary. In order to be able to at least explain the circumstances a bit, I have to go back a bit.
We recently had a donor in town who runs a snack bar and always included meat for our dogs in his own monthly order for the snack bar. We were very thankful for that and I expected that it will slow down when Corona took hold of the economy and people. But there's no justification for the fact that things turned out the way they did last month. At least I can't find words for it.

As mentioned, it is clear that in Corona times and with any failures in all companies, shops, bars and other service providers, everyone is missing something. Mostly money, but also just employment, freedom, society. We knew something was going to happen so only half the meat was left as a donation. That is understandable.
At the beginning of 2022 there was no more meat as a donation and we now have to carry everything ourselves. Even if the shops are allowed to open again now, I still understand it and that's not a problem either, even if it means additional monthly costs that will of course also burden us in the future. Unfortunately, the former donor didn't say anything about it beforehand and we weren't prepared for it, which then leads to unnecessary organizational difficulties.
Since Dita always paid the bills for the meat in full in a Loterica shop (a public payment facility with a staffed counter) and the people there knew that the donor donated meat once, Dita was then asked if she would now always pay all the meat herself, and if the donor would probably give nothing anymore. What should she say other than "Yes."!? Word gets around quickly in the small town, everyone knows each other there. And soon there were only evil looks from the former donor. The contact was really difficult towards the end, as I said, there were no words about it. But why not? If it doesn't work financially, then it just doesn't work anymore. But we could have been better prepared. Orders can sometimes take 2-4 weeks to be delivered. We were also able to order the meat beforehand using the donor's CNPJ number.
CNPJ is a kind of tax number for companies, through which you can order goods in larger quantities and also cheaper than with a CPF number (tax number for ordinary people). We now had to use 5 CPF numbers in order to be able to order meat for our dog shelter. It's still almost half the price of buying it individually at the supermarket. OK, Dita sort of worked it all out. But with the last order in June, we again had to wait an unusually long time for delivery. Instead of the delivery, Dita's aunt got a call from Avivar SAC, which is comparable to the Schufa in Germany. The invoice for the last delivery was not paid. However, we have received neither the delivery nor the corresponding invoice. It turned out that an acquaintance of the former donor had intercepted the delivery and told the supplier that she was a friend of Dita's and would then give it to her. That never happened!
Dita then phoned back and forth all day... The delivery men then probably picked up the delivery from the woman and took it back because the packaging was damaged or opened. I said straight away to Dita that we shouldn't accept this meat delivery anymore, who knows if it might have been poisoned... Unfortunately, we have to expect something like that. Unfortunately, we have already experienced a number of attacks. That the delivery was intercepted quietly and secretly is already a step too far. Who knows how far people like this will go...
The case with the delayed delivery or bill can block a person's CPF number, if this number is blocked, then at some point you can no longer pay bills in the Loterica shop, you are practically paralyzed socially. You can ruin people and destroy them in this way. We can only imagine the willfulness behind the whole thing, but for me the intention cannot be denied. Unfortunately, the question "Why?" remains...
